The University of Bouira Celebrates the End of the 2025–2026 Academic Year and Honors a Distinguished Group of Outstanding Achievers
In an atmosphere of pride and celebration, the University of Bouira organized the Closing Ceremony of the 2025–2026 Academic Year today. The event was attended by the Secretary General of the Wilaya of Bouira, representing the Governor (Wali) of Bouira; the representative of the President of the Wilaya People’s Assembly; the Assistant Public Prosecutor; representatives of the Security Committee; local authorities; executive directors; the University’s Vice-Rectors; deans of the faculties; directors of the institutes; the Director of University Services; representatives of the University’s social and economic partners; and members of the university community.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the performance of the Algerian National Anthem. A minute of silence was then observed in tribute to the nation’s martyrs. The Rector of the University subsequently delivered an address, highlighting the University’s major achievements during the 2025–2026 academic year, particularly in the areas of education and training, scientific research, innovation, openness, partnerships, and digital transformation. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to implementing the University of Bouira Vision 2040, aimed at building a leading institution that generates knowledge and contributes effectively to national development.
The ceremony also provided an opportunity to celebrate excellence and achievement. The World Champion in Yoseikan Budo was honored in recognition of his outstanding sporting accomplishment, which proudly raised the flag of Algeria and the University of Bouira on the international stage. The University also recognized the top-ranking students across its various fields of study, in appreciation of their academic excellence and as an encouragement for them to continue their journey of distinction, dedication, and success.
This ceremony reflects the University of Bouira’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and recognition while encouraging students to pursue academic excellence and innovation.
